Faucet & Fixture Installation in Fountain Hills, AZ

A faucet install in a 1980s Fountain Hills home and one in a new FireRock hillside build are two different jobs, and knowing which one you are walking into is most of the battle.

Fountain Hills homeowners call Liberty for faucet & fixture installation because we're local to the Valley, licensed, and answer the phone 24/7. Fountain Hills mixes established 1980s and 90s homes with newer hillside custom builds. The older homes are in copper slab-leak and water-heater territory. The hillside builds bring their own pressure and recirculation questions. And it's all sitting on the same hard water. We know the difference between the two and we work each one accordingly. We'll show you the real problem, lay out your options, and quote it fair before we start.

Fountain Hills splits into two plumbing realities. The 1980s and 90s neighborhoods that built out the town center are now at prime copper slab-leak age, buried copper supply lines running through and under the slab develop pinhole leaks after decades in contact with concrete and mineralized water, and the first sign is often a warm spot on the floor or an unexplained jump in the water bill. The hillside custom homes up in Eagle Mountain and FireRock are a separate animal: multi-level builds where the lower floors sit under significant head pressure and the upper floors need help getting hot water there quickly, so design and diagnosis matter as much as raw repair skill.

Faucet & Fixture Installation in Fountain Hills, FAQ

My new faucet already drips, why?
Usually grit or scale in the cartridge from our hard water. We flush and reseat it, or replace the cartridge.
Can you install a fixture I bought?
Absolutely. We'll set anything you supply, and we'll flag it if it's not suited to our water.
My faucet drips constantly. Is it cheaper to repair or replace?
Usually a repair, if it's a quality brand. Most drips are a worn cartridge or a scaled aerator, and cartridges for Moen, Delta, Kohler, and Pfister are cheap and often warrantied for life. We only steer you toward a replacement when the faucet is a bargain-grade body where the parts cost more in labor than a new fixture.
Why do my faucets and showerheads keep clogging with white buildup?
That's hard-water scale, calcium and magnesium from Valley water at 16-20 grains per gallon. It builds up in aerators, showerheads, and cartridges. You can soak the removable parts in vinegar to dissolve it, but the long-term fix is a water softener, which keeps the scale from forming in the first place.
The shutoff valve under my sink won't turn. Is that normal?
It's common with older multi-turn stops. They seize up with mineral and corrosion and quit on you right when you need them. We recommend swapping them for quarter-turn ball valves during any faucet job, so the next repair is a quick local shutoff instead of killing water to the whole house.
Can you install a faucet I bought online?
Yes, we install customer-supplied fixtures. One honest caveat: real cheap online faucets often have plastic internals and proprietary parts that are tough to service later, so we'll point that out before we install. A brass-bodied unit from a major brand is the better long-term value.
What's a pressure-balancing shower valve and do I need one?
It's a valve that stops the sudden temperature swing when somebody flushes a toilet or runs water elsewhere, so you don't get scalded or hit with a cold blast. Modern code requires that protection. A step up is a thermostatic valve, which holds your exact set temperature even as household pressure moves around.
I found a warm spot on my floor, is that a slab leak?
Very possibly. Fountain Hills homes from the 1980s and 90s are right at the age where copper lines under the slab develop pinhole leaks, and a warm floor spot or a sudden water-bill jump is the classic tell. We use electronic leak location to pinpoint it precisely, so we open the slab in one spot, not five.
