- Will checking my financing options hurt my credit?
- No. Most of our partners use a soft credit check during pre-qualification, which is the kind that does not affect your credit score. You would only see a hard inquiry if you choose to move forward with a full application.
- What credit score do I need to qualify?
- That depends on the lender and the program. Some plans are designed for excellent credit with promotional rate offers. Others approve homeowners with mid-range credit at standard rates. Because we work with multiple lenders, the easiest way to know is to apply, and there is no impact to your credit just to find out.
- How quickly can I get approved and start the work?
- Most homeowners get a decision the same day, often within minutes. Once you accept the terms we can typically schedule the repair right away. For emergencies, no hot water, active leaks, sewer backups, we treat scheduling with the urgency it deserves.
- What kinds of work can I finance?
- Anything where the right repair is bigger than what you would want to put on a credit card. Common examples: water heater replacement, whole-home repiping, slab leak repair, sewer line replacement, trenchless pipe lining, and water softener or filtration installation. Smaller repairs like basic drain cleaning or a faucet swap usually do not make sense to finance.
- Are there prepayment penalties?
- That depends on the specific lender and plan. Many of our partners allow you to pay the loan off early with no penalty. Your loan agreement spells out the exact terms before you sign.
- Who am I making payments to, Liberty or the lender?
- The lender. Once your loan is approved and the repair is done, you make monthly payments directly to the financing partner. We focus on the plumbing, they handle the billing.
